Gerade gelesen, dass CBS an einem Mehrteiler über das Leben des jungen Adolf Hitler bastelt. Weil doch, sagt CBS, jeder weiß, wie die Geschichte ausgegangen ist, aber keiner, wie sie begonnen hat, jajaja. Und, natürlich, sofort jede Menge Einwände gegen das Vorhaben, die Angst, dass der Führer "vermenschlicht" wird, jetzt Beaufsichtigungskomitees, Postscriptum über den Holocaust, damit niemand vergisst, wie die Geschichte ausgegangen ist, aber hey, wir lassen uns das Projekt nicht ausreden, denn: "There are times as a broadcaster when you take chances", und eh klar, für so ein Vorhaben kriegst du jede Menge Kritik, ist immer so, wenn man etwas riskiert und nicht von vornherein auf der sicheren Seite ist, damit mussten wir rechnen, wir nehmen das ernst, aber wir wollen uns das jetzt nicht kaputtkritisieren lassen. übrigens kommt mir die da und dort geäußerte frage "warum nicht nordkorea?", die die double standards der US-außenpolitik denunzieren soll, gelegentlich doch sehr wie eine aufforderung zur gewalt vor.
Angenehm nüchterner und rational argumentierender Artikel in Foreign Policy, in dem das von den USA (und anderen) gepinselte Bedrohungszenario fein säuberlich auseinandergenommen wird. Zitat:
