Die feinen Schichten des Ekels vor sich selbst. Und dann so stolz sein darauf, sich diesen preziösen Selbstekel zu halten wie einen Zuchtpudel. Und dann wissen, dass es aber so ist, mit allem: Zuchtpudelexistenz halt.

Der kreuzdämliche Satz vom "Begehren, nicht dran Schuld zu sein" ist vor allem ein Satz, den 99 Prozent aller Deutschen nach 1945 Tag für Tag heruntergeleiert haben. Wollte ich nur festgestellt haben, wenn es sonst schon keiner tut.

Wenn Kafka über Tiere schreibt, kann ich ihn nicht leiden.

The Sex Film Project.

A question: Why can't there be a movie that tells a strong story, is full of humor and pathos, is packed with powerful performances, and features a lot of explicit sex — hard-ons, cum and all?

Sex is a conversation. Why can't a scene with two people having real sex be as dramatically interesting as a scene with them talking in a restaurant? Why can't there be a film that makes you say, "I laughed, I cried, I came!"

EXPLICIT SEX IN FILM

Sex is a matrix. It's the bundled nerve endings of our emotional lives. It's where all our joys, fears, traumas and hopes find their unconscious voices. We, as filmmakers, respect and love the complexity of sex and we feel it's been cinematically hijacked by people who don't.

Hollywood's treatment of sex is clearly condescending, reductive and disappointing, but North American independents, foreign art films, non-narrative experimental films and even pornography can be just as frustrating. Some narrative indie films might have satisfying stories, but they all tend to come up short on full-bodied, uncensored sexual presentation. Some recent French-helmed art films work hard narratively and are refreshingly uncensored, but are often pretentious, humorless and deliberately unsexy. Experimental films can be sexually explicit, but narratively lazy. Pornography, created for the sole purpose of getting you off, can certainly be spontaneous and stirring, especially when the performers are freed from a constricting camera and actually into it (as in the best of 70's and early 80's porn). But, narratively, intellectually and emotionally, porn is almost invariably flat.

THIS FILM

We'd like to make a film with a strong traditional narrative: a seriously humorous exploration of romantic and sexual relationships in a modern New York City pansexual bohemian environment where gender, sexuality, art, music and politics are fluid and volatile.

Man soll so Leute ja nicht entmutigen (ganz abgesehen davon, dass sie sich eh nicht entmutigen lassen), aber an Pornos nervt nicht, dass sie keine Geschichten haben, sondern das Gegenteil, dass sie nämlich Geschichten erzählen (Stewardess trifft Nonne, Automechaniker hilft bei der Autopanne und hört mit dem Helfen nicht beim Reifenwechseln auf usw.), zweitens hört es sich gewaltig nach 400 Sicherheitsnetz-Disclaimern an, wenn da Politik, Musik, Gender bender, Monogamieideen, Boheme und weiß Gott was noch alles drin sein sollen ( kann mir mal jemand irgendeinen guten Film ohne expliziten Sex nennen, in dem Musik, Monogamieideen, Politik, Kunst und Pansexualität vorkommen?), und drittens: guten Sex würde man ja wirklich gerne sehen, aber warum denn eigentlich schon wieder das ewige cum, das ist doch nun wirklich langweiliger als Leute, die im Restaurant miteinander reden.

Wieso Sabine Christiansen sich keine besseren Lippen leisten kann als die, die sie sich leistet, kommt jetzt auch noch auf die Liste dessen, was ich nicht verstehe.
